Do you want your child to have fun while having an alternative to tuning out through constant attachment to electronic devices, this summer?

Welcome To Cosmic Kat Kids!
Serving children ages seven through twelve, Cosmic Kat Youth Camp is an outstanding program that helps children build their confidence and strength as physical and spiritual beings, emphasizing practical achievement and leadership skills.
Our children are beyond space & time, they are forces of nature, hence “Cosmic”. Being a Cosmic Kat is to love yourself unconditionally, once you love you everybody else loves you. Since children are our teachers, here to remind of us things we have forgotten…this camp is here to provide a safe and loving environment for them to thrive and unite with nature and themselves.

Cosmic Kat Youth Camp is where your child will experience their brightest light and have a lot of fun with yoga, meditation, eco-friendly arts and crafts and much more! A Creative Camp with a dynamic program that challenges kid’s to take responsibility for their life and provides a comprehensive set of practical tools for releasing stress, mastering emotions and raising self-awareness & esteem.
Cosmic Kat Youth Camp teaches Kundalini Yoga & Meditation as taught by Yogi Bhajan by sharing his vision of “Building Leaders of Tomorrow” in a healthy, happy, and sacred outdoor camp environment. The other forms of engagement for your children include; planting, maintaining working cooperatively in groups; learning about science and nutrition; and creating art and stories with their yoga, inspired by gardens.
Cosmic Kat Youth Camps focus is on giving children memorable and enriching experiences with movement, music & community, while also developing their innate talents and abilities. Movement is one of the most important aspects of a young child's life. Children are exposed to music through songs, games and group activities, and are then encouraged to express themselves and their creativity through the exploration of arts & crafts, creative writing, gardening, dance and yoga. We are here to help your child feel part of a healthy, non-competitive community. The experience of independence & autonomy during camp is an important part of building leadership skills.

Camp Activities
A variety of activities fill each week:

Yoga & Meditation
Helping your child manage stress and emotions through breathing, awareness, meditation and healthy movement. While also building concentration, increasing their confidence and positive self-image. The greatest gift you could give your child that will help keep them happy and be successful in life.

Earth-Friendly Arts & Crafts
Utilizing materials we generally throw away and putting them to good use while using our gifts of creativity. We will be working with recycled materials like toilet paper rolls, egg cartons, plastic bottles, etc. to create useful & unique items.
Water Works
Good old fashioned outdoor sprinkler fun, which will take place as we water our newly planted gardens. We will water our organic gardens on Monday and Wednesdays in the mornings to ensure their growth. It wouldn’t be as much fun if we couldn’t get a little water on ourselves, now would it?

Board Games
Playing board games is a great way to keep your mind flexible and active while forming community and learning to take turns & practicing good sportsmanship. We will be playing games like, Sorry, Chess, Checkers, Scrabble, & Clue to name a few.
Freedom Dancing
Not only do they enjoy the immediate benefits of music and movement enrichment; they also gain valuable skills that will serve them well throughout their entire lives. Everyone needs to have a chance to feel their “FREEDOM” and this is where they get to sway, jump, wiggle and sing their hearts out.

Creative Writing
Encouraging your child to use their imaginations, while developing reading, writing & learning skills. We will encourage them to use their imaginations to create stories as we act it out in our yoga as well as simply write about their feelings, while journaling.

Tween Circle ~ Time to Express Yourself
Children have the opportunity to express certain thoughts and ideas & recognize how they feel in a safe manner. Teaching empathy towards others in the real world & developing self-confidence & identity. This gives everyone the opportunity to see that they are not alone.

Organic Gardening (composting & going green)
It is great for fine motor development and tactile sensory input. We will be planting vegetables from themselves. (Celery, Lettuce, Beets, etc.) We will also plant our own succulent gardens. (When third to fifth grade students who participated in a one-year gardening program filled out a survey of life skills, they showed a significant increase in self-understanding and the ability to work in groups compared to nonparticipating students (Robinson & Zajicek, 2005)).

Nature Walks
This is simply getting outside, observing and enjoying nature all around us. To enjoy the variety and creativity found in the natural world. Cultivating curiosity and acute observation skills in our children will lay a strong foundation for the rest of their learning journey. This will be a peaceful, walk in my neighborhood, while exploring & observing flowers, trees, birds, etc.
Obstacle Courses
Providing great opportunities for your child to gain multiple skills as well as challenge their performance in gross and fine motor activities. We will have short obstacle courses set up through out the yard with cones, tires, trampoline, balls, etc. It will be a challenging and exciting way to keep them moving and having a blast!
